Met zijn aanstekelijk goed humeur en zijn eindeloze goede smaak voor clubmuziek, zet hij overal ter wereld menig dansvloer in vuur en vlam. Als geen ander weet hij een gelukzalige lach van erkenning op menig dansliefhebber’s wangen te toveren wanneer hij de zoveelste perfecte mix uit de draaitafels masseert. His infectiously good vibes and his relentlessly good taste in club music has put every dancefloor around the globe into a frenzy. More than anyone else of his peers he knows how to radiate a smile of recognition on a connoisseur’s face each time he juggles that perfect mix out of his inseparable turntables. Either on his multiple trips to Moscow or Ibiza, his remarkable sets at major festivals like Dance Valley or Tomorrowland , as the odd man out in dance music, DJ Prinz knows how to combine and crossbreed several genres in a tasteful manner, keeping his music elusive yet organic. Although securing a top position, time after time, in the annual ‘House DJ Of The Year’ polls, DJ Prinz is so much more. Bio (Nederlands) DJ Prinz begon zijn carrière midden jaren negentig en mocht zich al vrij snel resident noemen van de bekendste housetempel van het land, Café d’Anvers. Hij kreeg in een recordtempo een schare van aanhangers die zijn aanstekelijke stijl van muziek, een mengeling van deep house en techno, konden smaken en hem naar alle uithoeken van het land volgden. Dit ging promotors niet onopgemerkt voorbij en al snel speelde Prinz op uiteenlopende locaties in Europa. Voor de trendy Amsterdamse loungebar ‘Supperclub’ mocht hij enkele nummers leveren voor hun gesmaakte compilaties, en voor superstar deejays als Josh Wink en Riccardo Villalobos, is Prinz de gedroomde deejay om hun Belgische sets op te luisteren met zijn support. Ondertussen is dit kleurrijk en geliefd figuur tot diep in het Oosten een gevestigde naam. Een veelgevraagd deejay in steden als Moskou en Sint-Petersburg maar ook een regelmatige gast op festivals en in clubs in het verre Kazachstan, Macedonië en Georgië. Maar ook de ons omringende landen sluiten Prinz en zijn aanstekelijke mix van minimal, techhouse, deephouse en electro, in hun armen. Op Dance Valley, het grootste outdoor dance event van Nederland is hij de laatste jaren een vaste klant en voor de excentrieke feestjes van het Duitse Partysan, was hij reeds te gast in Turkije, Thailand en Oostenrijk. Als bezige bij stampte DJ Prinz ook nog twee felgesmaakte en succesvolle partyconcepten uit de grond. Free Vibes, een innovatieve en frisse party in thuishaven Antwerpen en Push It, dat nu zijn eerste verjaardag viert en recent ook succesvol in Gent werd geïntroduceerd. Dit laatste hoofdzakelijk met een verzameling van de kruim van de Belgische housescene dat zijn gelijke niet kent binnen de landsgrenzen. In 2006 bracht hij, met steun van John Aquaviva, op Punk’Id Records de EP ‘Dramatic’ uit. En in 2007 staat hij in juli te schitteren op de mainstage van Dance Valley, tussen alle groten der Aarde. Hopelijk kunnen we daarna deze parel aan het Antwerpse housefirmament ook nog in ons eigen land bewonderen, want vanaf dan zal echt ‘the sky the limit’ zijn voor deze positieve en kleurrijke deejay. Bio (English) DJ Prinz started out his career in the mid 90’s and soon became resident deejay at the infamous Belgian house club Café d’Anvers. At the speed of light he built up an array of fans, addicted to his style of music, a mixture of deep house and techno, following their house messiah to all corners of the country. This phenomenon didn’t go unnoticed to promoters galore and in a flashlight Prinz landed gigs at diverse locations in Europe. The trendy Amsterdam lounge bar Supperclub went out of their way to have Prinz bring in a few tunes for their renowned compilations and for superstar deejays Josh Wink or Riccardo Villalobos, he is the ideal support to open up their Belgian sets. In the mean time, this colourful and loving character has put himself on the map of the international dance scene, even as far as the Middle East. A deejay, highly in demand in places as diverse as Moscou and St Petersburg, but also a regular guest in Macedonia, Kazachstan,Dubai or Georgia. Nonetheless, our surrounding countries close DJ Prinz firmly in their arms with his contagious mix of minimal, tech house, deephouse and electro. Dance Valley, the biggest outdoor dance event in Holland, has invited Prinz the last three year back to back and for the eccentric parties organized by Germany’s Partysan, he has hosted events in Thailand, Turkey and Austria. Always keeping the groove alive, Prinz has also put a firm stamp on Antwerp nightlife with his, now high profile parties Free Vibes, an innovative and fresh breeze in the Belgian club scene, and Push It, recently celebrating its first birthday and just now being succesfully introduced at Ghent’s party heaven Decadance.
